Kaztec Participates at Shell Nigerian Content Day 2012
Affirms Position as Leader in Installation of Onshore/Offshore Pipelines
LAGOS, NIGERIA, October 4, 2012 - Kaztec Engineering Ltd. (www.kaztec-eng.com), a leader in the fabrication of drilling and production platforms and other specialized structures for the oil and gas industry, recently was among 19 indigenous companies from the oil and gas industry invited to participate in Shell Nigerian Content Day 2012. The event was coordinated by Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company Limited (SNEPCo).

The theme of this year's event was, “Showcasing Nigerian Capabilities in the Offshore Frontier of the Oil and Gas Industry.” The program explored topical issues, including:
- The existing opportunities for manufacturing of steel items, high voltage cables, and values in-country.
- The impending challenges to a typical investor
- The expectations from the various stakeholders
- The technologies in place for deep offshore exploration and seismic activities and how they could be domiciled
- The key that need to be overcome by the Nigerian investor
- Where we want to be with technology locally
These issues were among others effectively discussed by professionals from various fields during the two day exhibition for offshore products and services. The event was held October 3 and 4, 2012 at the Methodist Hall, 11 Broad Street, Lagos.
