Engineer Adebanji Babarinde


Engineer Babarinde, a 1976 Chemical Engineering graduate with honors comes to the board with a rich career history in Oil and Gas, spanning over 30 years, plus hands-on, on-the-job experience in virtually all aspects of the oil and gas business.

He did post qualification training in refinery engineering, process design and operations at Chiyoda, Japan; technical training and attachment in polypropylene production and quality control at El-Paso, Texas; and polypropylene plant in Ferrara, Italy. Others training opportunities include effective petrochemicals manufacture at College of Petroleum Studies, Oxford, and fuel ethanol production, quality control, transportation and safety at Petrobras, Brazil.

His expansive and distinguished career at Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) saw him hold various key positions including General Manger, Technical Services, Renewable Energy Division, Manager Engineering & Technical Services, Manager, Materials Management and Head Production, to mention a few.

He is happily married with children.
