PORT HARCOURT, NIGERIA - June 7, 2012
- Kaztec Engineering Ltd. (www.kaztec-eng.com), a leader in the fabrication of drilling and production platforms and other specialized structures for the oil and gas industry, today participated in the 2012 Shell Petroleum Development Center (SPDC) Engineering Day. The event provides an interactive forum to promote knowledge sharing, innovation and collaboration amongst SPDC engineers and partners/contractors.

Kaztec, a subsidiary of the Chrome Group (www.thechromegroup.net), a leading West African oil and gas conglomerate, had a highly visible exhibition booth at the event, which highlights the major SPDC engineering projects.


The 2012 SPDC Engineering Day brought all SPDC engineers together to promote collaboration and cross-learning. It also improved relationships with internal partners and potential contractors, and it enhanced understanding of applicable engineering standards.

In addition to Kaztec, a number of other external partners/contractors participated in the event, including Delta Afrik, NigerStar7, Invensys, Peak Energy and FODE-EMAS-Sinopec Pipeline and Offshore Contractors. The 2012 SPDC Engineering Day was held at Shell I.A. Restaurant in Port Harcourt.
