During the past three years, the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation, a non-governmental, philanthropic organization focused on youth employment, families, education, healthcare and infrastructure development,  has distributed more than 1 million books, computers and school supplies to institutions of learning across the country. For the most part, the books are supplied to the libraries of the various institutions.

In the citation, NLA noted that Sir Emeka`s effort through the SEOF has not only enriched the libraries across the country, but has greatly mitigated the dearth of quality books, which until now has been a major challenge of our educational sector. Together, the impact of the Foundation's effort makes education accessible to millions of the citizenry.

The occasion, which was attended by the Governors of Cross River and Akwa Ibom States, and the Minister of Education who were all represented, held at the Main Auditorium of the Calabar Cultural Centre.

Sir Emeka Offor was represented at the ceremony by Mr. Inno Anoliefo, the Group Administrative Manager, The Chrome Group and the Liaison Manager of the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation.
