ATLANTA, February 26, 2013 - The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation, a non-governmental, philanthropic organization focused on youth employment, families, education, healthcare and infrastructure development, today traveled to the United States to tour Books For Africa. The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation is Books For Africa's premier distribution partner in Nigeria.

Inno Anoliefo, a representative of the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation, paid a visit to the Books For Africa warehouse in Atlanta. There he was able to examine firsthand where the books bound for Nigeria and other African nations come from and how they are sorted. He was also able to review the Books For Africa Shipment process.

The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation is proud to support and work in partnership with Books For Africa. The Foundation has made tremendous efforts in sending books to schools and libraries in Africa. The shelves of more than 90 libraries were filled as a part of their most recent shipment. Together, nearly 640,000 books— worth more than US$6.5 million — have been shipped to students in Nigeria and The Gambia. The foundation and Books For Africa and the Foundation plan to ship even more throughout West Africa over the coming years.

While in the warehouse, Mr. Anoliefo was greeted by a great group of volunteers from Georgia Institute of Technology, who were in the warehouse helping the Books for Africa staff sort, pack, and prep books for shipment.
