Kaztec Engineering Ltd. (www.kaztec-eng.com), a leader in the fabrication of drilling and production platforms and other specialized structures for the oil and gas industry, has acquired two new anchor vessels for onshore, offshore and deep water oil and gas services. Kaztec is a subsidiary of the Chrome Group ( www.thechromegroup.net ), a leading West African oil and gas conglomerate.

The anchor vessels, christened, Ekulo Explorer and Ekulo Spirit, will complement the existing of vessels in company's fleet.

Chrome Group Chairman, Sir Emeka Offor, said they are utility vessels that will be used for various purposes and were delivered to the company at the Calabar Port at the weekend.

“They can be used to store materials, pipes and other drilling materials for both onshore and offshore services,” said Sir Emeka.

The Explorer is the bigger of the two with a capacity of 6,000 horsepower, while the Spirit is about 4,4000HP.
